DOC FRIULI AQUILEIA
After destemming the must with the skins is transferred into a stainless steel tank for starting the fermentation at a controlled temperature. After approximately 12-15 days skin contact, at the end of the alcoholic fermentation, the wine lays for 14 months in stainless steel tanks.
Harvest: hand picking in small boxes.
Grapes conditions: perfectly mature at the picking time.
Picking Time: third week of September.
Grapes: 100% indigenous Refosco
Color: Intense ruby red.
Nose: Red berries, tobacco hints and black pepper.
Taste: velvety, red and black fruits, spicy. Rounded tannins, black and red fruits with a long finish.
Refosco is a traditional red wine from Friuli. Pairs well with grilled red meats, stews and gamy . Nice option with sausage and polenta and great with aged cheeses.
