Vinification with whole grapes, to maintain the fruitiness, 16 days maceration to obtain a great structure. Aging in new and second passage barriques and in 3rd passage tonneaux for a period of 36 months. Bottle aging for 6 months.
Harvest: hand picking in small boxes
Grapes conditions: perfectly mature at the picking time.
Picking Time: third week of September.
Grapes: this 100% Merlot is a blend of different clones: 348, F4, F6, 181, 184, R3, FV4. The blend of different clones allows to get a more complex wine.

Color: Ruby red tending to purple.
Nose: aromas of black cherry, blackberry, plum jam and chocolate.
Taste: first sensations are those of blueberry in alcohol and wild blackberry, which slowly fade leaving in the mouth a pleasant hint of cocoa perfectly melted with the essence of oak.

Merlot is a soft and harmonious wine, ideal to be enjoyed during a meal. It goes well with roast or grilled red meat dishes, stewed dishes, boiled meats, cheese selections, risottos and main courses with elaborate sauces.
